What are cookies?
Cookies are small, secure text files stored on your device to help websites recognize your browser. They allow us to remember your preferences—such as language or login details—and provide usage insights that help improve your experience. Cookies are safe; they cannot install software or spread viruses.

Types of cookies we use
Cookies used by WhaTalker include session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain stored until they reach their set expiration or are manually deleted. Some may last a few minutes, others for longer periods. Cookies set by our platform are called first-party cookies, used solely for functionality, security, and service improvement.
Our website is regularly monitored using a dedicated cookie scanning tool to ensure the list of cookies we use remains current and accurate. All detected cookies are sorted into the following categories:

These cookies support the delivery of a consistent multilingual experience. |

Our platform is built on a foundation of security and trust
To deliver a seamless and secure experience, WhaTalker leverages advanced technologies alongside trusted third-party providers. For example, we utilize Cloudflare services for TLS/SSL, HTTPS, and DNS protection, ensuring all communications are encrypted. Cloudflare’s Bot Management and CAPTCHA Turnstile reinforce platform integrity without adding unnecessary cookies—only essential ones like __cf_bm, __cflb, and cf_clearance are used to support load balancing and defend against DDoS threats.
Our infrastructure independently manages critical session cookies:
- JRT maintains active user sessions.
- Auth ensures secure authentication with refresh capability, expiring after 7 days.
Our integrations are equally secure. For WhatsApp, session cookies are managed by WhatsApp via our Bailey connector and Redis. OpenAI interactions utilize cookies directly managed by OpenAI, and Typebot functions through cookies handled on their platform. Payment methods, such as PayPal and Striker, deploy their own cookies to secure transactions and prevent fraud. The PaymentReferral cookie, tracking referral partners, is controlled by WhaTalker and expires after 90 days. Additionally, Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, etc.) are used to track user interactions and provide performance insights.
Finally, if you connect or embed Facebook or Instagram within WhaTalker, those platforms may set cookies for session management, user authentication, and basic usage analytics. These cookies are governed by the respective privacy policies of Facebook and Instagram, helping ensure a consistent and secure user experience while integrating social features.
This layered, multi-provider strategy ensures that every facet of data security is managed with transparency and precision—protecting your privacy at every stage.
Understanding Third-Party Cookies and Embedded Content
Third-party cookies are created by domains other than the one you’re actively browsing—for instance, if content from another service (like YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram) is loaded on WhaTalker’s site, that service may set its own cookies.
Some features or tools integrated into WhaTalker may come from external platforms hosted on separate domains. Even so, we treat these integrations with the same level of privacy and care as our own services.
WhaTalker does not permit third-party tracking providers to place cookies or trackers on our website for advertising or profiling purposes. In cases where we embed external content—such as videos, bots, or analytics dashboards—the third-party provider might set cookies in your browser. These are typically used to support essential functions like language settings, bandwidth optimization, consent tracking, or to collect anonymous usage metrics (e.g., number of video plays).
Additionally, when users connect their Facebook or Instagram accounts as part of our integration features, those platforms may set their own cookies. These cookies are generally used to authenticate users, manage session data, and ensure proper functionality between WhaTalker and the social platforms. While we aim to minimize any tracking and prioritize privacy, cookies placed by Facebook or Instagram are governed by their own privacy policies and may not be fully within our control.
Wherever possible, we configure these embeds and integrations to use privacy-first settings, such as disabling personalized tracking or enabling anonymous statistics. However, some third-party services operate independently and may apply cookies when their content or services are triggered.
Managing Your Cookies: A Professional Overview
In the WhaTalker environment, user privacy is paramount. You can fine-tune your cookie preferences by adjusting settings in popular browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, or by using a dedicated cookie manager. However, please note that disabling WhaTalker’s internal cookies may prevent some essential services from functioning properly. By carefully selecting which cookies to accept or reject, you retain control over your browsing experience while ensuring it remains aligned with your comfort and privacy standards.
Most popular browsers provide official help pages with step-by-step instructions on how to manage cookies on their platforms. For your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of commonly used browsers along with direct links to their cookie management guides:
Language Optimization via WPML
To enhance the user experience based on individual language preferences, WhaTalker utilizes WPML (WordPress Multilingual Plugin), a reliable and widely adopted tool for delivering multilingual content. This solution automatically detects the preferred browser language of each visitor and redirects them to the corresponding localized version of the site, ensuring clear, accessible, and consistent navigation.
As part of this functionality, technical cookies are configured and managed directly by WhaTalker through WPML. These cookies include:
- _icl_visitor_lang_js – Detects and remembers the user’s preferred browser language. Temporarily stores the redirect language to prevent unnecessary redirections. Its default duration is 24 hours, configurable in multiples of this period.
- wp-wpml_current_language – Records the language currently selected by the user, ensuring a consistent linguistic experience throughout the browsing session.
- wpml_browser_redirect_test – Verifies whether the browser supports cookies, enabling the safe application of redirection logic based on the detected language.
These cookies serve a purely technical purpose and are exclusively intended to provide an optimal multilingual experience. They do not collect personal data or enable third-party tracking mechanisms. Their implementation adheres to the privacy standards established by WhaTalker, ensuring transparency and regulatory compliance across all language versions available on the platform.
